Douglas J. Covert Doug joined HSWMR in 1991 as an environmental scientist. He received his B.S. in Biology from Florida State University in 1987. His experience while working for HSWMR includes: preparation of toxicological evaluations for various inorganic and organic compounds; preparation of site-specific risk assessments for sites exhibiting soil and groundwater contamination by inorganic and organic compounds (e.g., manufactured gas plant sites, landfill properties, planned development units); development of target concentrations for inorganic and organic compounds (e.g., arsenic, lead, dioxins) in soils; and development of site-specific risk assessments and development of target concentrations for organic and inorganic compounds in groundwater. Mr. Covert has conducted field activities for Petroleum Storage Tank Closure Assessments, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, and has conducted Soil Vapor Surveys to assess the presence and/or extent of petroleum hydrocarbon contamination in site soils. He has conducted laboratory sample acquisition from monitoring wells, surface waters, soil borings, hazardous material/waste containers, etc. |
